In 1680 John Forbes of Ledmacay, Invernettie and Belnaboddach disponed the lands of Belnaboddach and 'the two Auchernachs' in favour of his second son William. After John Forbes' death in 1684 the two Auchernachs were first confirmed to the elder son Alexander but then disponed by him to William of Belnaboddach (NAS GD 404/1/36).
In 1714 William Forbes of Belnaboddach and John Forbes his eldest son disponed the lands of Auchernach to Nathaniel Forbes his second son (NAS GD 404/1/43). Nathaniel was born 1700 to his third wife Agnes Forbes (HoF)
Nathaniel Forbes died Oct 1760 and was succeeded by Charles Forbes born 1730 died May 1794 (HoF page 451)
Lands of Auldahuie, Blairnamuick and Corriebreck were wadsetted (mortgaged) by the Earl of Fife to Charles Forbes of Auchernack in 1776 (extract from Aberdeen University MS 3175/828)
1798 Retour of Captain Nathaniel Forbes then Captain in East India Company's Service as Heir to his grandfather Nathaniel Forbes (NAS GD 404/1/43). This Nathaniel was born 1766 and died 1851.
Auchernach House was built in 1809 by Lieut Gen Nathaniel Forbes of Hon East India Co ('Geology of Auchernach' 1930)
